Freecycle
The web provides an effective platform for just about any cause or course of action, be it radical or transcendental.
I admire online group efforts that spark real-life social activism, Freecycle is the perfect example of this.
I also enjoy online discussion and networking groups that spark debate and foster new ideas, especially among professionals in related industries.
A member of one of my discussion groups shared a recent web-story that is new to me. She writes:
Seems FedEx is upset that their boxes have been turned into furniture. Instead of using this inventive use of FedEx boxes as a positive, they are threatening the user. Wasn't there a positive way for FedEx to use this information?
While the web is a great bull-horn to show-off cleverness, the little guy still has to consult a lawyer when recycling corporate America.

I stumbled across your blog while I was doing some online research. I have only recently become acquainted with the Freecycle concept. What a terrific way to remove the clutter from our own homes without clogging up our already overburdened landfills!
